About 2poor2tour

2poor2tour was the brainchild of Gary Mainprize (Propack Solutions) and brother-in-law Simon Booth (Felikz.net) and was created in early 2006 as a result of a Sandi Thom interview which Gary saw on TV.

The idea behind 2poor2tour was to provide entertainers, who could not afford to promote themselves, the chance to showcase their talents to the world. It was soon realised that providers such as MySpace and YouTube were already doing a pretty good job of this and were also well financially backed.

There was still a side to our project which was not readily offered, and that was streaming live content over the internet from (potentially) anywhere. We figured this way would allow bands who could not afford to gig, or tour, the chance to perform live from their garage/house, or wherever, to the entire world.

Because of this change of direction we found that Gary would struggle to contribute, especially with the limited time he had and being located on the UK mainland, and agreed that it would make sense for Simon to take 2poor2tour under the wing of Felikz.net to further the technological side and also because of the growth of the live music scene on the Isle of Man.

Today, 2poor2tour exists to provide bands, DJ's and venues the ability to reach the world via the internet for live performances. We also aim to provide a facility for live recordings and distribution.

2poor2tour are continually researching new methods of streaming live content over the internet to ensure that we can broadcast to a wide range of audiences.
